Aqua Hedionda Lagoon Clean-Up

Surfers Unite Lifetime Member Lisa Cannon-Rodman is Executive Director of Aqua Hedionda and a member of tge Rotary Club of Carlsbad Hi-Noon. Well her team has a fun event planned to clean up and support the lagoon so let’s sign up to volunteer.

Details of the event:
· Date: Friday, May 10^th, 2019
· Where: California Watersports (4215 Harrison Street, Carlsbad CA 92008)
· Time of Volunteering: 9:45am – 2:30pm (approximate)
· Volunteers Receive: Complimentary Lunch from Pizza Port
· Volunteer Positions: You will check in with Shannon upon arrival, and she will direct you where/what you will be doing.
- Registration support (checking the participants in, having them sign a waiver, giving them a tshirt etc.)
- Stationed at a clean-up site to direct the participants (a few different shorelines, which we can transport you to via boat and/or drive)
- Handing out food/prizes
- Judging and keeping score of the games (water basketball, corn hole, amongst others)
- Judging most unique piece of trash collected
- Weighing trash
This is a corporate clean-up event, so you will be helping with logistics, set-up, tear-down, judging, ushering etc. And if time permits, or we have an excess of volunteers participating in the clean-up itself!
