Collaborating on a project is especially fun when you involve the talents of others.  Special thanks to all of the Rotarians and Rotaract members who participated in the Virtual Walk for End Polio Now which kicked off on World Polio Day, Oct. 24, 2020.  The following video was put together by a talented group of Rotaractors including Surfers Unite member Joey Vaesen and shown on Nov. 13th at the Rotary Institute.  Please be sure to share this and encourage others to donate to the End Polio Now campaign.  Together we save lives!  https://youtu.be/C3SZdXxw18A

Those of us who saw Maya take off at Nazaré in Portugal back in February of this year, the same wave that nearly ended her life in 2013 knew that she was riding one of the biggest waves ever recorded.  It's official, this 73' monster puts other surfing icons like Laird Hamilton in their place when he said, "Maya doesn't have the skills to be in these conditions."  Well Laird, we think Maya's in a league of her own when it comes to dropping into monster waves.  Congrats Maya...you have battled, sacrificed and endured numerous injuries to prove you are more than capable of anything.  Score one for the ladies here fellas.
