Set a New World Record and Support Boys to Men Mentoring

This Saturday Surfers Unite Rotarian Fellowship members including Rotarians from San Diego & Orange County as well as a dozen High School Interact students from Madison High School Interact and University City High School Interact as well as a dozen Rotaractors from UCSD Rotaract are volunteering and participating in the 1 Wave Challenge & 5K Beach Run.  We encourage everyone to come down to La Jolla Shores, get on board with SURF and support the cause.  Donate or Register to participate here now: https://1wavechallenge.org/

    The good news, everyone who participated in the 1 Wave Challenge helped raise $90k for Boys to Men Mentoring. The bad news, we'll have to wait until 2019 to break the record of 110 surfers on the same wave. Conditions were less than ideal but with 172 surfers in the water it is just a matter of time until we break the Guinness World Record set in Cape Town, South Africa back in 2009. My bet is that we simply need more Surfers Unite members in the event next year!
