Want to watch the top women surfers in the world compete? Then you need to be at the Nissan Supergirl Pro in Oceanside Sept. 22-24. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities from photography, registration, working in the judges tower as a spotter, crowd control and of course the VIP and athletes area during this three day event. If you want to see how ASA Entertainment draws more than 25,000 to Oceanside Pier for an exhibition of pro surfers, the top amateurs around the world, women empowerment and a fun festival then you need to be at this event. Have a daughter or granddaughter? Bring them! This QS (Qualifying Series) surfing competition will also include some of the top names in the sport.

In case you missed it the International Surfing Association recently announced that the World Para Surfing Championship event which gathers over 130 adaptive surfers from more than 30 countries is coming to “Surf City USA!” This is an amazing opportunity to host athletes from Whales, Spain, Canada, Costa Rica, Colombia, Brazil, Australia, South Africa and other countries, watch athletes competing in various assist and non assist divisions including prone and visually impaired. When you see these amazing athletes surf, some with prosthetic limbs you will be inspired. We need volunteers to assist at any level so sign up and text or call 858-602-2532 for more info. Watching the Opening or Closing ceremonies as country flags are presented and family and friends travel to support these adaptive surfees makes this one of the most special events of the year.
